Paint Plant for Aeronautical Fuselages

The system built at Leonardo’s Structures Division in Pomigliano d’Arco makes it possible to automate the process of painting fuselages. A sensor detects the geometry of the part, subsequently initiating the painting phase precisely and efficiently. This technology allows an optimized use of raw materials, a significant reduction in operating time and an overall process improvement according to lean logic.
